Welcome to Meow Green. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our online store at meowgreen.co.uk and any related services we provide (together, the "Services"). Please read them carefully before using our store or placing an order.

By visiting, browsing, or purchasing from our store, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.

Meow Green is a UK-based retailer of cat litter and cat litter box products. Our store is powered by Shopify. Any purchases you make are made directly with Meow Green — Shopify is not a party to your contract with us and is not responsible for any aspect of your purchase.

2. Eligibility & Account

By agreeing to these Terms, you confirm that you are at least the age of majority in your country of residence. If you are creating an account or purchasing on behalf of a minor dependent, you are responsible for ensuring their use of our Services is appropriate.

If you create an account with us, you are responsible for:

Keeping your login credentials secure and confidential
All activity that occurs under your account
Notifying us immediately at hello@meowgreen.co.uk if you suspect any unauthorised use

You may not transfer or assign your account to any other person. All information you provide must be accurate, complete, and kept up to date.

3. Our Products

We sell cat litter products and cat litter box accessories, including the Michu XXL Container Cat Litter Box with Scoop. We take care to describe our products accurately, but please be aware of the following:

Colours and appearance of products on screen may differ from the actual product due to differences in screen calibration and display settings
Product descriptions, specifications, and availability are subject to change without notice at our sole discretion
We reserve the right to discontinue any product or limit quantities at any time
Some cat litters may not be suitable for kittens under 12 weeks — please read product descriptions carefully before purchase
The Michu XXL Litter Box should be assembled and used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions provided in the box

We do not warrant that any product will meet your specific expectations or that it will be exactly as depicted on our store.

4. Orders & Contract Formation

When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase. No contract exists between us until we have accepted your order. Acceptance occurs when we send you an order confirmation email. We reserve the right to decline any order at our discretion, including where:

A product is out of stock or has been discontinued
We are unable to verify your payment
There has been an error in pricing or product description
We suspect fraud or misuse

If we decline or are unable to fulfil your order after payment has been taken, we will notify you promptly and issue a full refund.

Please review your order carefully before submitting. Once accepted, we may be unable to accommodate amendments or cancellations. Please see our Return & Refund Policy for your rights after an order has been placed.

Your purchases are for personal or household use only and not for commercial resale.

5. Prices & Payment

All prices are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP) unless otherwise stated. Prices are subject to change without notice. The price charged will be the price shown at the time you place your order, as confirmed in your order confirmation email.

Prices do not include shipping charges, import duties, or local taxes unless expressly stated
We accept major credit and debit cards and any other payment methods displayed at checkout
You confirm that the payment details you provide are accurate, that you are authorised to use the payment method, and that funds are available
We use secure, PCI-DSS compliant payment processors. We do not store your full card details

Promotional codes and discounts are subject to their own terms and cannot be combined unless expressly stated.

6. Shipping & Delivery

All orders are dispatched from the United Kingdom
Delivery timeframes are estimates and are not guaranteed
We are not liable for delays caused by carriers, customs processing, or circumstances beyond our control
Risk and title in goods pass to you upon delivery to the carrier
International orders may be subject to import duties and local taxes, which are your responsibility

7. Returns, Refunds & Your Statutory Rights

Please refer to our Return & Refund Policy for full details. In summary:

We offer a 30-day return period from the date of receipt, subject to our returns conditions
UK and EU consumers have a statutory 14-day cooling-off right, subject to the hygiene exception for opened cat litter
Faulty or misdescribed goods may be returned for a full refund or replacement at any time within the statutory periods applicable in your jurisdiction

Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer under the laws of your country of residence, including (where applicable) the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, EU Sale of Goods Directive 2019/771, or any equivalent legislation.

8. Subscriptions

We may offer cat litter products on a subscription basis. If you purchase a subscription:

You authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis at the frequency you select
You may cancel or modify your subscription at any time before the next scheduled dispatch — see our Purchase Options Cancellation Policy for full details
Some subscriptions auto-renew — we will notify you by email before any renewal
UK and EU consumers retain the right to cancel within 14 days of entering a subscription agreement in accordance with applicable consumer law

9. Intellectual Property

All content on our store — including product names (such as Meow Green), logos, text, images, graphics, and the design and arrangement of our store — is owned by or licensed to Meow Green and is protected by UK and international intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, republish, or otherwise use our content for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent. You may view, download, and print content solely for your personal, non-commercial use.

Shopify's name, logo, and trademarks are the property of Shopify Inc.

10. Prohibited Use

You agree not to use our Services:

For any unlawful, fraudulent, or malicious purpose
To infringe our intellectual property rights or those of any third party

12. User Content & Reviews

If you submit any reviews, feedback, or other content to our store ("User Content"), you grant Meow Green a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, publish, and display that content in connection with our business.

You represent that you own or have the right to submit any User Content, that it is accurate and not misleading, and that it complies with these Terms. We may, at our discretion, remove any User Content that we consider unlawful, offensive, or in breach of these Terms.

13. Errors & Inaccuracies

We take care to ensure our store is accurate, but errors in product descriptions, pricing, promotions, or availability may occasionally occur. We reserve the right to correct any such errors and, where an order has been placed on the basis of an error, to cancel that order with a full refund. We will notify you promptly if this occurs.

14. Third-Party Links & Services

Our store may contain links to third-party websites or integrate third-party tools (such as social media widgets or payment processors). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or reliability of any third-party site or service. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their own terms and conditions.

15. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, our Services and products are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

This disclaimer does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer. In the UK, your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not limited by this clause. In the EU, your rights under applicable consumer protection legislation are not affected.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Meow Green's total liability to you in connection with your use of our Services or any products purchased shall not exceed the amount you paid for the order giving rise to the claim.

We shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, special, or punitive losses or damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, or loss of goodwill, arising from your use of our Services.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law. In particular, nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer under UK or EU law.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Meow Green, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, damages, or costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your violation of any applicable law, or your use of our Services.

18. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of our Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except that:

If you are a consumer resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may bring proceedings in your local courts
If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you also retain the benefit of any mandatory consumer protection laws and dispute resolution rights available in your country of residence
EU consumers may use the European Commission's ODR platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr to seek resolution of disputes
US consumers retain any mandatory dispute resolution rights under applicable federal or state law

19. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or if that is not possible, it shall be severed from these Terms. The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be published on this page with a revised effective date. Where required by law, we will notify you of material changes. Your continued use of our Services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
